has anyone within the forum have owned one of these vehicles ?
as I mentioned earlier, I owned a '65 MG Midget... and in the past owned
both a MGA , and a MGB.......as British cars in the States were somewhat common to UK sports car fans...I've never seen a Lotus like Mrs. Peel's
over here....and I'm sure a few did make it over here... |
A nice selection mosuemeat.
It seems sacrilege to say it but the Elan was never really a car I particularly wanted. Even in my younger days, I didn't care for the look of them as much as many other cars. I particularly liked the MGB of which I have owned two. I did once sit in a Lotus Europa in a dealer's showroom but I think we both knew I couldn't have afforded the insurance!
I have owned a Morgan 4/4 for the last 15 years, the very last of the true British sportscars, and I love it. |

amen.....

Still own the Midget, but I've replaced the original 1098 cc and put in a 1275 from a '72 midget....
I've never seen that model of Lotus (Mrs. Peel's version) here in the states..even at car shows...
I do see a bunch of MG's...a few Sprites from time to time...and I see some triumph's .even here in Memphis...some TR 4's, and the ever popular 6's...and believe it or not, there's a couple of TR 7's , motoring around here...the pizza wedge, as we call 'em.... |
