I have a picture of Joanna and Patrick in this somewhere, and I think my library has it as well. I did watch one episode of Rosamund Pilcher's Coming Home awhile back, but it didn't scintillate enough to carry on (was surprised to see a very young Keira Knightly in it, though). _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

I quite liked 'Coming Home', it could've done with a bit more depth but all in all enjoyable.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to see Nancherrow yet, but I do really want to see it, because I need to know how the story ends. _________________ My Joanna Lumley Fan Forum |

Great job as per usual. Pinpoint accurate editing... and I liked the music too, I've only really listened to Read My Mind before....
But even your videotrickery can't change Joanna's dreadful 1970-era wig. What were they thinking? _________________

True, the wig was awful. But apart from that, and I already said so on the Joanna forum: It's a fantastic video _________________ My Joanna Lumley Fan Forum |

Thanks! That one was hard to edit, too, so I'm pleased it came out all right. I've been on a bit of a Killers kick ever since their last album, Day & Age, came out, which I can highly recommend. Clearly "When You Were Young" comes from Sam's Town, though. I wouldn't put "Read My Mind" at the top of my tracks list, though, but if you liked both I'd recommend that album as well (I wrote a lot of "Berlin" to it!).
And I have no idea what they were thinking with that wig, either. Looking at it, it doesn't even look like it could be plausibly slicked back the way it is for the scenes when she's dressed to perform. Was that hairdo even in in 1970? (Then again, I've seen some of Joanna's do's in the eighties, and...yeesh.)[/i] _________________ Last Watched: Who Was That Man I Saw You With?

I recorded all of Patrick's TV appearances in 1998 when he was in the UK to promote the Avengers & Me, The National Lottery, Clive James, This Morning, etc. he was hilarious. I'll have to find out how to upload to Youtube. |

I'd like to see some of those documentaries made in the 1990s. Perhaps I'm just thinking of the one Channel 4 made to coincide with the repeat season in 1992 or 93, that wonderful thirteen week run, and those little intros. Macnee just makes you purr. A lovely man. |

Pat also appeared on Light Lunch, a daytime chat and cookery programme, with Honor. It was around the time of the movie and Honor wondered aloud whether Uma Thurman was going to play the part of Emma Peel as an American. _________________

I remember Honor was asked what she thought of Patrick's book...
" ... pregnant pause... I've... not read it yet!"
Pat signs the book to Honor and irritatingly accepts/declines/accepts declines offers of food. _________________

I've recorded that on DVD. It's the last time I think that Pat and Honor were together on screen |

Apologies if this has already been posted, it was new to me.
And... Linda - you're Canadian, old love, not a Merican. _________________

^oh yeah I saw that one a while ago.
I though it was strange too when she said American, unless she meant North American... _________________ My Joanna Lumley Fan Forum |

Linda Thorson received her American Citizenship several years ago, so while she's not native, she is considered legally an American. |
