Very sad news, dear Avengers fans!
While doing some research on The Avengers, I discovered that important person in the Avengers History, Robert Norris, the advertising controller, and then the director in charge of A.B.C.'s television, died in this year.
The name of Robert Norris was often associated with The Avengers (in many cases, ABC Television self associated with people as Howard Thomas, Brian Tesler, Robert Norris and Bernard Greenhead), it was Robert and Howard Thomas that influenced the case that TV series was sold to the USA in 1965. Details are here:

Beside Robert engaged in sales of The Avengers to other countries, he was a marketing adviser for TNA:
Robert also participated in the work for Dave Rogers' first book on The Avengers (1983).
Dave:
"A special thanks to Bob Norris, for his kind (and helpful) comments on the manuscript".
Robert Norris (left), Lucille Ball, and Howard Thomas.
Summary
Full name: Robert Harold Norris
Born: August 20, 1924 in Santa Rosa, California, USA
Died: January 4, 2018 in Oregon, USA
Married: Wendy Hosking (in 1984, San-Francisco - until her death in November 26, 2017)
Acknowledgment to Robert that he advertised and popularized The Avengers in different countries.
Rest in Peace! _________________ Denis |
